Epidemic by Guy Colwell

This image is one from my archives and I thought to be fitting to our current times.  It is a photograph I took back in February 2014 of a painting by the artist Guy Colwell as displayed at the Crocker Art Museum of Sacramento.  Guy's work tends to represent distopian views of our society.  But in this case, that future is now!  Stare at it long enough and it should be obvious of the importance of wearing a mask in public places where there is a concentration with others.   It is interesting to try to guess the state of mind for each of the individuals.  Note the somewhat prophetic depiction of the person with the red cap that seems to be oblivious to the situation around him.
