Oak Ranch

Remains of an old cattle stockade in the rolling foothills east of Sacramento.  This particular place is found off Scott Road south of Folsom on the way to the community of Ranch Murieta.  It is one of my favorite local locations for photography.  When you have a good sunset with some nice clouds, it is hard to take a bad photo.  This image was captured a couple of weeks ago while the area is enjoying a verdant spring.  Some additional pictures captured then are shown below, along with some captured back in January.

Sadly a new wave of development out of Folsom has started to encroach into this area, and with it, ultimately the loss of this beautiful landscape.
