Hanging on the edge
The famous hanging
oak tree of the Fair Oaks bluff along the American River
Parkway. To get this unique angle, a drone was used, taking
multiple shots in order to digitally stitch together a higher quality image.
Due to an unfortunate amount of trash and graffiti also visible in the
original image, some additional work in photoshop was required to delete
this clutter from the image. See this unretouched image to the
right.
As the temperatures drop, the morning mist returns to the American River Parkway. This can be a nice time of year for photography of this jewel of Sacramento. The rest of the images shown below are based on such captures by a drone under these misty morning conditions. You can also view a video of the parkway under such conditions that was captured the previous year here.
