Alpine wildflowers

Alpine wildflowers on the trail to Winnemucca Lake from the Carson Pass trailhead. Here you see Sierra Lupine and Mountain Mule ears in the foreground with Round top mountain as the backdrop. The wildflowers in this area typically peak in the second half of July. This year seems to be especially nice for the number of wildflowers.
