Sunset at Hot Creek
The sun going down over Mammoth Mountain of the Eastern Sierra with Hot Creek in the foreground.
The Hot Creek area at the northern end of Long Valley near the headwaters of the Owens River has quite active from a volcanic standpoint as indicative of the many hot springs found here. The image above and the ones below were captured with a drone, also covering the volcanic craters just south of Mono Lake, and the tail end of the Owens River gorge along the Chalk Bluffs area.
