Path to paradise

Path to paradise

On the John Muir trail with a smokey morning on the way deeper into Yosemite National Park. This trail heads out above Nevada Falls above the valley floor below and into little Yosemite Valley up on a separate level about 2000 feet higher up to the east. It is less traveled due to the popularity of the Mist Trail that most hikers use to get closer to Vernal Falls.  This trail bypasses the waterfall, but gives better views of Nevada Falls and more panoramic vistas for some of the granite domes.  You can see more images of Yosemite in my gallery here.
