Majesty of El Capitan

The majesty of El Capitan

The incredibly large granite dome of El Capitan on the edge of Yosemite Valley.  Carved by ancient glaciers and towering at about 3000 feet, this monolith has its own weather system at the top. Captured on a recent winter visit to the park during a clearing storm.
