Oak moon silhouette

Oak moon silhouette

A full moon rising behind a stately oak tree on a distant ridge. This is a revisting of one of my signature shots that is possible about once a year due to limitations in the visibility of this oak tree with the full moon rising behind it plus the necessary azimuth angle of the moon.  To achieve the compression in the size of the moon relative to the tree, I am positioned about 1 mile away from the tree.  Photographed with a 500mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter using a Canon 5D mark III body.
