Zebra slot canyon

Enter the slot

Entry into the Zebra Slot from the backside.  Found in the Harris Wash off Hole-in-the-Rock Road south of Escalante, Utah; this is one of the more colorful slot canyons of the area.

This image is a preview of an upcoming trip back into this protected area by myself and 3 other friends.  We like to get out to the Colorado Plateau area at least once a year for these types of explorations. This time we plan on backpacking into Coyote Gulch for 2 to 3 days, exploring an area renowned for its beauty.  If the weather cooperates, we also plan on trying our luck to reach Neon Canyon from the top on a separate overnight trip later in the same week.  This second hike is more technical, requiring wetsuits due to deep canyons with lots of water.  Stay tuned for the next updates.  You can see and read more about many of my previous canyon explorations here.
