Phantom Falls of North Table Mountain

Phantom Falls

The pour-off of Phantom Falls (aka Coal Canyon Falls) from the North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve.  This is found about 10 miles northeast of Oroville, situated up on some volcanic tablelands at the northern base of the Sierras. I visited this location last week after some recent rains to check on the state of the various waterfalls.  As expected, all were flowing pretty good, and the grasses are just starting to turn a verdant green.  The amount of water should bode well for a good wildflower season this spring.
