Arranged fish at Popotla
Close-up of Garibaldi fish arranged in a series of rows on a table at a local fish market. This place was found on the beach in the town of Popotla, Baja California. These fish were freshly caught earlier that morning, and then brought to shore within a few hours for sale to local restauranteers and other customers. There are about a dozen different boats that display their catch on the beach here every day. It can be a good location for photography of a Mexican fish market and the fishermen in a more authentic setting while they clean their catch and prep their boats. I visited this area of Mexico last week along with other locations as part of a 4 day photography workshop sponsored by the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center. You can read more about this trip and images from it at my travelogue here.
