Sky rock

Sky Rock

Elusive petroglyphs found in the Eastern Sierras at an undisclosed location. This particular rock has some of the most extensive drawings chipped out of the pantina that I have seen, and likely represents the closest to a written language for the particular native American Indians that created this. I get the impression that they are trying to provide stories about the earth, nature, and its history as they understood it.  In a way, not much different from modern day religions. Photographed at night with the milkyway galaxy as the backdrop.
