Sipapu natural bridge

Sipapu Natural Bridge. This is located in the Cedar Mesa area at Natural Bridges National Monument. My father was a ranger at this park back in the 50's living out of a primitive trailer with my mother at the time.  Things were a lot more primitive back then and much more difficult to access. It was a popular area with the Anasazi indians that occupied these lands from the 800's until the 1300's, living in these canyons and building granaries and small kivas up along the canyon walls to better defend their food stores. It is also the target of an upcoming photographic trip back to this general territory in the coming weeks through the Grand Gulch, Butler wash, among other areas.
