On this trip I was guided by a fellow photographer Cliff Hall who had been here before, knew the way, and had the right vehicle.  He also mentioned the area is starting to look a little more worn down as compared to the previous visit. After some sunset related photography, we dry camped overnight nearby and used this as opportunity to also get in some night compositions, as shown by some of the images below.  In the dark, these unusual rock formations can take on a different more spooky moodiness, resembling that of gargoyles and other unusual aparations.  Trying to navigate around here in darkness can be difficult and a bit dangerous due to many precipices and hazardous obstacles. It is important to have a good light and to also take extreme care to avoid damaging any of these delicate rock structures.  Due to the remoteness of this location, it is dark enough for capturing the milkyway as part of nightscape related photography.
