River Grinding Holes
River grinding holes along the bank of the Lower American River. Most likely left by the Nisenan Indians that once occupied these lands. This image and two others in the first row below are currently on exhibit at the Viewpoint Galley as part of an exhibition on the American River Parkway through October 7th. Viewpoint is located in midtown Sacramento on J street between 20th and 21st street. If in the area, be sure to stop in and check it out, admission is free.
