Top of the dome

Looking over the edge downward from the top of Half Dome at Yosemite National Park. I climbed this with 5 other friends last week, going up the cables on the backside of what ended up being a fairly grueling 18 mile hike and about 4600 feet in elevation change.  We started at about 6 AM and completed the hike about 12 hours later. Climbing Half Dome is now controlled by a permit system in order to keep the number of people to a reasonable limit (especially in the summer).
