Chico State Herbarium Native Pollinator field trip

You will find here images captured from a field trip organized by the Chico State University Herbarium up in the mountains of Butte county about 40 miles east of Chico, California. This trip was a follow-up to a day long course at Chico State on native pollinators taught by the instructors: Rob Schlising and Robert Irwin. They also assisted me in identifying some of the various pollinating insects shown here. The course was quite informative and helped open my understanding to this little known but vast world on these species of insects.
