Summary

Given the weather and drought conditions, it was harder work and really taxed your abilities and limits of your camera gear to get quality images. But as is typical with such trips, you never fully know what you may end up with in terms of your resulting captures. There always seem to be new surprises, including some positive unexpected opportunities that make such trips well worth it, despite the inevitable setbacks in other areas. I could easily see coming back to this preserve again in the future, perhaps trying to better time it for a more productive farming season, and when the waters may not be as frozen over.
